Interactive Design for Screen by Design 360 Magazine

Interactive Design for Screen: 100 Graphic Design Solutions is a beautiful hardcover book compiled by the editors of Design 360 Magazine.

The book is divided into two main sections:

• Application, which showcases mobile  and web apps.
• Website, which showcases web experiences and designs.

Each spread consists of brief information on the featured project, including the team that worked on it, and then large images showing the screen layouts.

The book is a delightful reference book for interaction designers. I have found myself leafing through its pages when stuck for inspiration multiple times.

There is a large variety of the types of apps and websites featured. All of them have varied art directions, so you get a real delightful mix of inspiration. Some of my absolute favourites are:

• Build in Amsterdam's bold typography-based website design for Frans Hal Museum.
• For the People's funky art direction and design for the project management software Streamtime.
• Qiner Wang's calming pastel-hued design of the Simple Weather App.

This book doesn't talk about design processes or dive into design advice. It simply presents beautiful screen designs, and is all the better for it.

I highly recommend this book as a staple to add to your design bookshelf. You will find yourself reaching for it again and again.
